This is probably my most ambitious photoshop project yet. I was inspired to do it by this poem
Scarlet Plume - Ramsey Chahine
Here we are overcoming the hate, Surpassing our fears and fulfilling our fate, Releasing our tears and becoming ornate, Dressed in the gowns of truth and love, Red slippers and a night cap received from above. Dream
Nightmare! Infecting your mind, Blood-stained lies paralyzing the Heavenly spine. Demons eek out, plumes of evil sin, Thick red gas, the demons you breathe in. Down to the stomach the red gas flows, Infecting the lungs and choking the throat. The gas seeps through your interior, Poisoning the Angelic vein, Turning your blood to cold black pain. The gas infects the physical, Trapping the Heavenly spirit, the mental the spiritual. The gas raises the light in the air, Leaving the body in motionless despair. Down drops the body, crying on its knees, Plain-faced machination, open arms, erased imagination. Silent it sits as if glaring at the sky, Stoic, wind blowing, tears flow from its missing eye. Clouds gather and begin to fall, The gas hits the clouds and scarlet becomes the gaseous wall. Red rains down on the barren world, Stopped within time, where is love to unfurl? Lower the clouds come to the ground, The landscape poisoned the music unfound.
The red rain collects on the top of the soil, Some mysterious heat brings it to boil. Then with one big bang the liquid is suspended, Caught, stuck in air as if time had ended. Bright light blinds the landscape with this heavy bass drum boom Silence fills the air, no sin, no scarlet plume. Green erects from the barren ground, Along with it comes musical sound. The dark disperses and the heavens peek through, The clouds disappear unveiling the blue. High-pitched strings omit the bass-lines low, knee-weakening rings. The notes dig into the ground, Evoking the most melodious sound. The air becomes thick with love, Saturating the skies up above. The figure lay still, black veins and all, The love does not restore the figures inevitable fall. Motionless lay the figure, pale, blank-faced, The world inhales, conceals this poisoned disgrace. Through the soil the figure falls, Down into crystallized, blazing walls. Embers surround the figure, red and black enclose it near, The bright sky turns dark, the heavens shed a tear. The loss of creation stops all time, hate strangles love, Black fills and kills all life, the heavens fall from above.
When is enough enough... What difference does it make when popular artist vent vent vent and support a site that tolerates deviant behaviour. HA! no wonder its all in a name.
